Port Takola

A family-run resort which is on a private estate on Krabi, Southern Thailand. Port Takola is a recently built low-density development. When completed the sheltered marina will hold 260 yachts from 12 to 40 metres, with a minimum depth of 2.5m.

Lease berths at Port Takola are available to buy for a period of 5, 10 or 25 years in duration.

The marina is currently open and operating with the following facilities.

Phase one

The current marina offers 50 stern-to berths for boats up to 30 metres loa. Plus a further 20 moorings with bow and stern securing up to 18 metres loa.

The new pontoons are made from high stability concrete and are 4 metres wide. Each berth comes with electricity and metered water.

Other amenities include a bar/restaurant, shower block, fuel, chandlery and security. There is also a path suitable for jogging and cycling.

Phase two

Below are the plans for future development phases. The plan is to self fund the marina. The building of future phases will happen once finance is generated from selling the marina berths in phase one. Please note that the rates we quote are for phase one. Future phases are likely to be more expensive due to the extra facilities available.

Future plans include more pontoons to accommodate a maximum of 260 yachts. A Capitainerie which will include 5-star bathroom facilities, laundry service and a lounge with wi-fi. In addition, the Cafe du Port which will serve local and international cuisine in a beautiful harbour facing garden.

The surrounding area

Port Takola is well placed to enjoy year-round sailing and exploration of the Thai Andaman Sea.

The islands of Phi Phi, Lanta, Koh Hong, the Raily Peninsula and Phang Nga Bay are all within a short sail. Phuket is only 30nm away from the harbour.

The expatriate community is small but growing. The attraction to Krabi stems from its beautiful year-round weather, good infrastructure and beautiful natural surroundings.
